UWF Purpose
United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Who we are:
United Women in Faith (UWF) formerly known as: United Methodist Women (UMW) – National Organization is an agency of the United Methodist Church and has oversight of the denomination’s deaconess and home missioner programs within the new national United Methodist Churches organization. UWF advocates for the oppressed and dispossessed with special needs of women, children and youth works to build a supportive community among women, and helps foster growth in the Christian faith, mission education, and Christian social involvement. Each unit is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
